New Orleans, LA - DePaul Community Health Centers (DCHC) will celebrate National Health Center Week, Saturday, August 2 through Saturday, August 9, by hosting several health and wellness events throughout the greater New Orleans area. National Health Center Week, sponsored by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), is an annual celebration that raises awareness about the Mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers.
Celebrating 60 Years of Progress: Powering Communities serves as this year’s theme, celebrating the years of impact that health center workers and their services have on our nation's health. This year, NACHC is also empowering communities by connecting them with elected officials from all levels of government in an effort to create lasting partnerships.
Every August, NACHC sponsors National Health Center Week to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s nearly 1,500 Community Health Centers. It is an opportunity to highlight the commitment and passion of Community Health Center staff, board members, and supporters who make it possible to provide quality, comprehensive health care services to more than 32.5 million patients across nearly 16,000 communities annually.
