Medicaid Changes: We're Here to Help
Beginning January 1, 2027, new Medicaid work and community engagement requirements may affect your
eligibility or require additional documentation to maintain your medical benefits. DePaul is committed to helping our patients understand these changes and protect their access to care.
Under the new law, certain Medicaid members ages 19–64 may be required to:
-
Complete at least 80 hours of approved activities each month.
-
Qualifying activities may include working, participating in a work program, attending school at least part-time, volunteering or performing community service.
-
Members may also combine approved activities to meet the monthly requirement.
-
Some individuals, including those with young children or serious medical conditions, may be exempt.
