(504) 207-3060Dr. McCoy completed her Infectious Disease Fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where her clinical work included inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, HIV primary care and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at UPMC Lititz and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also holds a Master of Public Health in International Health and Epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from Allegheny College.
Throughout her career, Dr. McCoy has provided care across a variety of settings, including primary care, hospital medicine, post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care and infectious disease. Her experience also includes teaching and supervising residents, medical students and advanced practice providers.
Dr. McCoy has an extensive background in public health and clinical research, with work focused on infectious diseases, HIV, cancer prevention, patient navigation and barriers to care. Her research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at professional conferences. She has also participated in international medical missions and community health initiatives in Haiti, Ecuador and Kenya.
Dr. McCoy is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana.
