Dr. Tanner earned her MD from Meharry Medical College after graduating from Spelman College with a bachelor's degree in biology. She completed her residency in obsterics and gynecology at LSU Health Sciences Center where she served as the Educational Chief Resident.
Prior to joining DePaul, Dr. Tanner worked at The Women's Health Center in McComb, Mississippi and The Center for Women's Healthcare in Baton Rouge. She is a member of the Mississippi State Medical Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the American Medical Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. In her free time, Dr. Tanner enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and keeping up with international health.
