She graduated from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus, MS and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA, the oldest continuing women's college in the country. In 2003, after graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, she moved to New Orleans, LA to pursue pediatrics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Resident Award in her final year, the same year she worked the Children's Hospital hematology-oncology floor during the Hurricane Katrina lockdown.
She has been a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since passing her pediatric board exam in 2006.
Dr Vigour enjoys practicing yoga, riding bikes with her husband and two sons, ages 11 and 13, and also watching them participate in sports. Another favorite pastime is enjoying her backyard while Jack, the family dog, sleeps on her lap.
