Give Kids A Smile fue lanzado a nivel nacional por la Asociación Dental Estadounidense en 2003. Desde entonces, más de cinco millones de niños desatendidos han recibido servicios de salud bucal gratuitos.

A nivel nacional, aproximadamente 10.000 dentistas brindan servicios anualmente, junto con otros 30.000 miembros del equipo dental.
